1- Youth Officer - Azraq Camp "Nationals Only"
Role Specific Information

NRC will provide access to structured learning and social engagement opportunities for Syrian and Jordanian youth. Opportunities will vary according to the diverse educational needs of the youth population in and out of camps, taking into consideration sensitivities of engaging youth and linking where possible and appropriate to opportunities to enter the formal workforce, return to education, pursue higher education and/or for personal, professional and social development.
The Youth Officer is responsible for the daily supervision, planning and implementation of NRC Youth Programme at site level, Incentive based volunteers (IBVs) management, and liaising with stakeholders as delegated.

- Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.

- Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
- Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
Specific responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of the Youth Coordinator, handle and support the planning and the implementation of Youth Programme activities at site-level, adhering to NRC quality standards and guidelines.
- Supervise, assign tasks and give instructions to incentive based volunteers (IBVs), specify their individual work plans and evaluate individual’s performance.
- Identify, analyze and inform key processes and gaps in the implementation of the activities and make recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure task distribution for key processes/events, e.g. outreach, registration, exams, graduation, innovation lab activities. ·
- Represent NRC Youth Programme at community gatherings on Youth/Education, in addition to other working groups (WGs) as delegated by the Youth Coordinator.
- Prepare monthly reports on site activities, and ensure M&E correctly conducted and reported.
- Liaise with Site Operations Officer on stock management procedures and material requests, in coordination with the Youth Coordinator.
- Identify capacity building needs through HR processes. Advise Youth Coordinator on capacity building needs and opportunities for IBVs.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a university graduate with a minimum of two years previous experience in relevant field. Experience working in complex and volatile contexts. experience from working within technical expertise area in a humanitarian/ recovery context. Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities. Some knowledge of English

2- Livelihood Officer - Amman - re advertised
Role Specific Information
As part of NRC's commitment to supporting national agencies that focus on improving the livelihood opportunities for vulnerable Jordanians and Syrian refugees, the Livelihood Officer will serve as a supporting staff member within the Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI). The primary role of the Livelihood Officer will be to support JCI's Vocational Training initiative. JCI's Vocational Training programming is focused on creating and providing demand driven technical training to job seekers which meet the demands of the private sector. The Livelihood Officer will support this programme through a number of tasks including: carrying out employment needs assessments with the private sector; liaise with primary stakeholders; representing JCI in relevant meetings and conferences; and assisting in the planning and coordination of all of JCI's vocational training activities.
Our Ideal Candidate:
The candidate must hold College/diploma degree or equivalent with a minimum of three years of experience in a similar field.
The ideal candidate must have strong analytical and communication skills and must be details oriented, well organized, planned to handle multiple tasks.
We are looking for a hardworking dedicated candidate, who will implement the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) project and Liaison with INGOs, Government officials, other interface ministries and developing briefings on government stakeholders and private sector needs.

- Supporting the analytical activities and labour needs assessments focused on JCI and private sector.
- Supporting the coordination between JCI and Training Curriculum Consultants ensuring that all trainings developed meet the demands of the private sector.
- Attending relevant stakeholder meetings, workshops and conferences.
- Liaising with both public and private sector in the planning in the VTC initiative.
- Supporting NRC's Transitioning to Employment Team (T2E) with briefings on private sector needs and facilitating meetings with public sector stakeholders.
- Reporting to JCI on all activities associated with the VTC programme.
