Deputy Admissions and Networking Coordinator
CONTEXT
Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation.
Médecins Sans Frontières is running a reconstructive surgery program in Amman and is seeking Deputy Admissions and Networking Coordinator
Dimension of the project
- Reconstructive Surgery Hospital with in average 600 admissions per year,
- Over 1000 surgeries annually.
- 72 surgical beds and 126 rehabilitation beds.
- 2 OTs for orthopedic, maxillo-facial and plastic surgeries,
- OPD with in average 550 consultations / month.
- Physiotherapy and psychosocial department and a micro laboratory within the hospital.
Position Accountabilities
- Will be responsible for following up medical components of the referral pathways (from identification of patients in home countries, validation’s procedures to coordination with the hospital teams related to schedule of arrivals, admissions, discharges and requested follow-up after discharge).
- Will monitor patients’ pathway from entry in the program to final discharge, facilitating interdisciplinary debates and decisions, implementing communication channels to patients and families regarding treatments plan and their evolvement.
- Under guidance of Admission and Networking Coordinator with support of Medical Team (clinical and admissions), to oversee that the patients receive appropriate care and services as outlined in the treatment plan and in the allotted time frame aiming at developing patient centered approaches and managing relevant patients flow.
PROFILE
- Holds diploma in medicine or nursing with experience in project coordination.
- Have at least 2 years of humanitarian experience with MSF, in the absence of MSF’s experience, at least 4 years of relevant humanitarian experience.
- Have at least 2 years of management experience.
- Have an experience in the field, networking activities in remote context (knowledge of Yemen, Iraq, Gaza and Syria is additional).
- Written and verbal fluency in English and Arabic is required, French is an asset.
- Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet).

WORK LOCATION: Mainly in Amman – Al Mowasah Hospital, also will require movement inside and outside Jordan based on work needs.
CONTRACT: Fixed term contract – Full Time – 6 months renewable.
